I could be reaching like Hornswaggle in a MITB match but it just dawned on me. Looking at this amazing Starrcade 97 Sting entrance:



It seems like the upcoming WK main event has so many similiar aspects to the Sting/Hogan feud:

• Tana representing the true beginnings of NJPW, while Omega respecting where the company should be heading
• The Elite= NWO on pills
• Questionable direction of the promotion from wrestling fans that either support it or want the feeling to be restored
• Starrcade=Wrestle Kingdom
• Tradition vs Newness
• Tana being kinda hurt in the ring=Sting being in bad shade due to lack of training and drug problems
• This promo is the epitome of the year long feud between Sting and Hogan ala NJPW vs The Elite/BC:

Nah I dont see Omega in that light. I do think theyll try to put Jay White in the Hoegan light eventually though. Actually, I kinda like Gedo in a Bischoff type role

Yeah this took a lot mental gymnastics to get to the fantasy booking of Jay White, even then its a stretch because Gedo isnt creative enough to be that uncreative if that makes sense.
