Do the refs have to study up on the no-no words, if for example:

Ref is Hungarian
Home team is Italian
Away team is Slovakian

Or do they all yell/complain in English? :yeshrug:

Most refs are required to know multiple languages

No they're not.

Like the TS suggested, they just learn up on the curse words.

You can't ask referees to learn multiple languages ffs

A lot of refs WILL know more than one language, which may give them an advantage, but it's not a requirement by any means. For example Howard Webb who has reffed some of the biggest games on the planet in recent years, only knows English iirc.

The fifa regulations for international tournamnts are taught to refs in English. So i'd guess most know a bit of english.
