It's going to happen before the turn of the century.

We'll be :flabbynsick: :old: or :dead: by then tho.

Sometimes I'll OD on Ray Kurzweil & have my mind blown. He predicts in the future, we'll be able to upload our minds/consciousness like MP3 files. He also thinks that nanotechnology in the future will be able to cure any disease, reverse the effects of aging or simply cease it.....allowing us to achieve immortality. It reads like a low-grade sci-fi movie but, 70 years from now you'll be able to upload your mind into a different body once your body breaks down or you'll be able to cease aging & stay the same age permanently.

Edit: I just read what I wrote & its sound ridiculous :dead:

Predictions made by Ray Kurzweil - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dude has made alot of predictions about the growth of technology & a good number of them came true

it wasn't an attack or anything, maybe i'm just unable to comprehend in 2013 how far we'll be able to go, but our conscious thoughts on mp3 i find kinda 'out there'. i'll definitely give this wiki page a good look

considering how far we've come though, nothing is preposterous :scheme:

Nah...b. I didnt take it as an attack.

That shyt is out there to me too :whew:

He talks about alot of stuff on there. Transhumanism/Singularity, reverse engineering the human brain, computers exceeding the human brain in processing power, virtual reality (e.g. Matrix), genetic engineering (e.g. Gattaca), robots reaching the point where they're indistinguishable from humans.

I wish I would born in 2088 instead :wow:

The brain cannot live in preserving fluid forever. Even immortality, can die, friends.

Worst case scenario of immortality. Being locked in a box, thrown to the bottom of the ocean where you will never escape, ever.

Being buried on concrete, where you will never escape, ever. Hell exists, even for immortals, friends.
