Thought it was aight. Well directed and they did a great job capturing the late 50s/60s vibe. I just thought the lead performances were underwhelming and I wish the relationship wasn’t built on an affair. Nnamdi wasn’t bad for an ex athlete but he lacked the chops to really elevate that role and Tessa Thompson was doing some retro 60s type performance while all the other actors took a more modern approach which gave the movie a weird vibe
I thought it was better than The Photograph though. I saw that in theaters to support a Black love story but I thought it was boring af
