In Borlange, an industrial city, historically leftist, the far-right has become more and more active since the last few years. Recently, the authorization of a Nordic Resistant movement rally generated a lot of reactions in Sweden. This movement is known for its violent actions during an anti-racist rally that happened in Stockholm in 2013.
This movement is linked to the far-right party "Sweden democrats" that has been focusing on anti-refugee policies.
Tess Aplund, a 42-year-old activist, told that her act was not premedited and that she was inspired by Nelson Mandela. She told herself that they should not be there.
