Exclusive: Trump's travel ban polarizes America - Reuters/Ipsos poll

"The Jan. 30-31 poll found that 49 percent of American adults said they either "strongly" or "somewhat" agreed with Trump's order, while 41 percent "strongly" or "somewhat" disagreed and another 10 percent said they don't know.

But the responses were split almost entirely along party lines. Some 53 percent of Democrats said they "strongly disagree" with Trump's action while 51 percent of Republicans said they "strongly agree." "

:mjlol:

"The Reuters/Ipsos poll found 31 percent of Americans feel "more safe" because of the ban, compared with 26 percent who said they felt "less safe." Some 38 percent said they felt the United States was setting "a good example" of how best to confront terrorism, while 41 percent said the country was setting "a bad example.""

I wouldn't take these polls seriously. Usually statistics are false. Think about it did you participate in this poll? I know I didn't so they're just taking a percentage of a select few and estimating that number for all of America. Besides all of that you know white folks want the country white as possible again.

Take polls seriously brehs. For all I know they could have taken this poll in Texas :camby:

The Reuters/Ipsos poll was conducted online in English in all 50 states. It gathered poll responses from 1,201 people including 453 Democrats and 478 Republicans. It has a credibility interval, a measure of accuracy, of 3 percentage points for the entire sample and 5 percentage points for the Democrats and the Republicans.

Polls are meaningless now. Remember all the polls leading up to the election. All of them wrong. They need to find a new system
Those polls didn't work because people were hiding their true opinions and low turnout by Clinton people who said they would vote in polls.

This is not something that people are going to hide their true opinion on, and even if they did it would be a higher negative number than 49%

Trump's approval rating is like 30%, so if we take that which seems plausible given what the actual popular vote in the election was, I find it hard to believe a majority are feelin these far right policies.

Most democrats will never approve of him as a president, then you got many republicans who dont either, but that doesn't change how they feel towards immigrants or Muslims. They can hate 10 things about Trump, but like this 1 thing very easily. Cacs don't stand for anything.

White Women voters had a laundry list of reasons to hate Trump during the election, but still voted for him to be president in ridiculously large numbers.

Houston to LA like I'm Robert Horry.
Given that the poll was about 50% Republicans this doesn't really surprise me. People got to stop underestimating the thought process of Right Winged CACs. You ain't going to see much of their type in any serious Metropolitian, but they fill up the rest of the country HEAVY. Thought the election would have told you that.
