The Phoenix Suns could embark on a "pivot and reload" around Devin Booker this offseason, according to Mat Ishbia. The Suns have had a disappointing season and are expected to trade Kevin Durant and could also revisit their options on Bradley Beal. The Suns' front office believes the team isn't as far from contention as the current standings indicate.

As a source close to Ishbia said, "For better or worse, there's no 'trust the process' to Mat Ishbia."

"I'll just say that we're going to evaluate in the offseason," Ishbia said. "We're going to find a way to win, and it's probably a lot easier winning with Kevin Durant than without him. But at the same time, yes, if we're not good enough in this iteration of the Phoenix Suns, we're going to find a way to be better next year."

Ishbia also defended where the Suns are under his leadership.

"People like to say, 'Oh, he's too involved.' What?" said Ishbia, who splits his time between Phoenix and Pontiac, Michigan, where the headquarters of his family's United Wholesale Mortgage are located. "Honestly, you think I watched film on the players we're drafting? They say, 'We like Ryan Dunn.' I say, 'OK, how do we get him?' I don't watch film, I don't interview the player. It's just silly what people talk about."

Ishbia considers it his obligation as an owner to "give the best resources, give the support, make sure that we make it a destination in Phoenix, create a great fan experience."

Booker has been lowkey regressin. He was never a great athlete for NBA standards only athletic trait he got is cardio. Not strong, not explosive, don't got length, not really fast, average vert. He a finesse skill player wit 0 physicality to impose his game. Look at his numbers against athletic defenses wit wings and guards like OKC... nikka can't get a shot off he had like single digit scorin and another 3/14 or some shyt. He don't got an otherwordly alien trait like Steph or Kyrie hand eye coordination to make up for lack of athleticism in other areas. Add to that he not a good play maker and he one of the worst defensive guards in the NBA. Watchin Suns game it's shocking how bad he is on defense like it don't get brought up. Players score on him easy, blow by him like a cone, shoot over contest easy, he can't defend anyone.

Booker as your clear 1st option is fightin for a play in spot at best and wit teams like Spurs and even Blazers now gon be a problem it's probably gon be hopin for that 10 seed. He a top 15-20 range player at best. Suns were contenders when he was a 1a/b wit CP3 and he wasn't ever better than KD. He a solid player been a top 5 SG for years but nikkas like SGA, Ant, DMitch, Jaylen blew past him wit quickness and he not gettin better.

Devin Booker has been the same player the past say 4-5 years. It wouldn't actually behoove the Suns in the long run to blow up the team and start over.

fukking absurd.

Him and Edwards are the two players in the past five or six years that people have overrated the most. The next Kobe and MJ. fukking idiots. :russ: .
