So a dude I know committed that today

I dont want to go into any specifics, for obvious reasons, but how do yall feel about this shyt? Obviously its sad, but I don't really feel all that sad. Dude gave up, and took the easy way out. shyt seems more selfish than anything.

Always depending on circumstances, if leaving behind people who can't feed themselves, children, or a wife, whatever...but, I feel suicide should be more acceptable in society, legal, and authorized, if you want to check out, go. I think there is a needless stigma with suicide.

The way I see it is if you want to kill yourself it's your right and no one has the right to tell you it's wrong. People will say it's selfish. No what IS selfish is you telling someone to ignore all their pain just so YOU won't have the misfortune of crying about his death for a few months or even less. How dare he kill himself and inconvenience you, right?

thats true. I guess I was thinking more along the line of suicide in general. I should have specified that it had nothing to do with terminal illness, or any shyt like that. Just an average dude...

fair enough, but considering what you said the fact that I aint sad about it should be justified. But, now I gotta go to the services and pretend to be depressed when I'm pretty fukken impartial. If anything I feel guilty that I'm not sad about it....hence the thread

Yeah good point Misty. I always say a mufukka must be going through agony on a daily basis to commit suicide. You don't know that person's pain or struggle so who are you to frown upon their decision.
