The Sudanese temples and pyramids predate most if not all of Ancient Egypt. Pyramidal structures exist in pretty much every single part of East/North Africa (none of that accounts for monuments that were destroyed). Gives credence to the idea that these ethnic groups were mutually intelligible once upon a time.
