Sudan unplugs from the internet amid mass protests
http://www.theverge.com/2013/9/25/4770902/sudan-unplugs-from-the-internet-amid-mass-protests

As protests rage in the capital city of Khartoum, Sudan has unplugged from the global web according to reports from several web-monitoring services. Cloudflare tells The Verge that all of the country's ISPs have disappeared from internet routing tables, which is consistent with a government-initiated blackout. In a post this afternoon, web monitoring firm Renesys called it "the largest national blackout since Egypt disconnected itself in January 2011."

The protests began on Monday, when the national government announced it would end fuel subsidies in accordance with IMF recommendations. The result has been chaos in Khartoum, with six reported deaths and hundreds of police deployed to the city center. Following the tradition of the Arab Spring, Twitter has been a crucial organizing tool for the protests . Groups have been using the #sudanrevolts hashtag to spread both word of protest locations and gruesome pictures of the police response, leading many to assume the blackout was initiated to break local access to the service.

mos definitely, that was what the war was about, all the oil was in the south but all the money was going to the north and the development was going north

and on top of that sudan sides with the muslim world which has nothing to do with the people in the south who are mostly christian or have native religions, just having black people separate themselves from muslims is a good enough reason for the separation imo

well nobody has the money, theoretically the south has the money but the money from the oil is a drop in the bucket for what south sudan needs and then you subtract corruption and there really isnt any money

but the money getting lost in juba (the southern capital)>>>>>>>> the money getting lost in khartoum (the northern capital)

Last question,

Who outside of the Sudan benefits the most from south sudan being separated from the north?

it helps the western countries trying to invest in the region and are trying to contain sudan

and also kenya and uganda, the oil pipeline goes north now, they are trying to make a new pipeline that goes south and they are trying to add south sudan to the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_African_Community

this is a good thing imo because uganda and kenya are black and sudan is arab/islam oriented, i feel its better to be oriented toward the west and toward black africa rather then toward the arab world like sudan is and in terms of black history south sudan is blocking the expansion of arabism and islam into africa that started 1000 years ago, so i approve 100 percent with separation from sudanese muslims

that being said, if the sudanese topple their current government that would be good

I see. It seems like the sudanese gov will need to be crushed for the ultimate plan of iran. All their buddies will be touched.
