That's why I don't hate on someone who settled for something comfortable and within reach. There are NO guarantees your ambition will lead you to a greater opportunity.

You're wrong. Again, A " greater opportunity" is how you define it. If we're referring to a job, I'd take a job that paid less but was like 5 minutes from home. That'd be a greater opportunity to me but if it was a few years earlier it'd suck because I would have wanted more money.
