They picked optimal trade school scenarios and then the worst college scenarios but threw in the "but at least you have diversity in college" line. They did a good job of showing the downside of college and the benefits of trade schools but they needed more time covering the opposite side.
If you compare a 24 year old trade school breh and a 24 year old college breh.....trade school breh is (probably) going to be ahead on finances, life experience etc. We rarely see comparisons further into one's career. How do the two look at 30, 35, 50 years old?
All things being equal, I think trade school gets you off to a faster start but a similarly talented college grad will catch up very quickly.
