Store has everything locked up, but assistant is never around to unlock what you need unappreciation

Make it make sense to me. Look I get it, the world has lost its freaking mind and people will steal everything not nailed down. Still, why is it every time I try to go to the store to buy something and it’s behind some security glass there no assistant site to help you with 10,000 feet? So now I gotta sit here and wait 15 minutes just buy a damn bar of soap. My thing is if you have security locks at the damn store at least have somebody in the general area to help you.


Just now I’m coming from Target and I got to spend ten minutes looking for somebody just for that person to tell me that they don’t have a key for that station. So now we all have to wait another five minutes for the person to come just so they can unlock the area so I can buy something that cost $10. And you wonder why stores are closing everywhere..

Getting rid of the self-checkout was the last straw for me. Definitely not trying to wait 30 minute to get a product and wait in line. I only do store pickup now.

Actually my kid does travel soccer and today he had a game in a pretty affluent area. That’s where the target was. Crime is crime and the way the world is now nothing is safe. I actually think more crime happens in stores in richer areas because people realize nobody in the store won’t do anything.

Yep. They said some kids went in there and just took whatever they wanted and walked out. Bail reform laws too lax so no fear of consequences. Why can’t the world ever have balance? We just swing from one extreme to the next.

Because managing a store is expensive and the sales assistants who you’re looking for are also expensive and probably helping out 5 other customers at the same time.

It should be required for every American to work some sort of retail job for a minimum of 3-6 months just so y’all can see what it’s like to help yall ingrates

I literally worked my entire high school and college years in retail. That doesn’t change the situation or make me sympathize at what happened today. There was nobody at all in that section. I had to walk halfway across the store to find somebody. It ain’t asking a lot to have assigned people stay in their posts. All that experience today did is incentivize me
to buy shyt online because I’d rather not deal with the hassle. And all that does is contribute to the demise to brick and mortar stores.
