This might sound silly but, looking at this match, you know what I realize the WWE is missing right now in the main events: Signature striking or just character IN striking.

When I was a kid and we'd fool around with wrestling, it wasn't just the basic punching or kicking with the stomps.

The Rock always had his own way of slapping the shyt out of people before looking at his palm and knocking them down. He had that little shake before kicking or stomping his opponents. Austin would "stomp a mudhole" into people and that was literally part of his move set. He'd come off the ropes for those forearm drops and flip the birds around before dropping them.

The pace just looked faster & more entertaining with little things like that. I don't know...

There are shades of it with Punk & Bryan (mostly their kicking, more so with Bryan and the "Yes" kicks nowadays). I don't see too much with Cena outside of the 5-knuckle shuffle. There just isn't that FLAIR...probably b/c there isn't as much brawling nowadays but it's something I notice looking back.

The Pace WAS faster back in the day. HHH pushed hard for years to slow the pace of matches down when HE slowed down. If you don't believe me look at how the pace of matches changed on Smackdown and Raw when Hunter switched shows....

Co-sign 100%, especially in this match where they just start duking it out to set the pace, really draws you in. The only match I can think that had that lately was HHH/Taker at WM where they just start wailing on each other from the jump. The kickfest from Punk/Bryan just doesn't compare.
