"Stone Cold" Steve Austin may be appearing on WWE TV in the near future to promote the kickoff of his new show “Straight Up Steve Austin” on the USA Network, notes the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. While this is not confirmed by WWE, it would make sense both ways as it would not only help promote the show but would also move the ratings needle for Raw and/or Smackdown. Austin’s show debuts on August 12 immediately after Raw so if he is to appear on any show, it's likely to be on Monday nights.
:damn:
I don't dance, son
The timeline for Eric Bischoff’s signing with WWE is that he likely had a meeting with Vince McMahon a few days after the 6/10 and 6/11 tapings in California, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The actual deal likely was not signed until around 6/25 as that is when Bischoff cancelled a series of appearances in Canada, while citing that he had signed a contract that wouldn’t allow him to make those appearances. He is expected to move to Stamford next week with his family and begin giving his input on shows beginning on the 7/16 Smackdown Live show.
we ready for easy e? :ohhh:
Even though WWE Raw viewership numbers were still below the levels of last year, there were a lot of positives - specifically in the young adults demographic, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Teenagers - one of WWE’s target groups and the toughest to reach for a lot of shows - grew significantly from the first to second hour and even showed a slight increase for the third hour. Week-over-week, for the under-35 demographic, viewership was up a whopping 37.5%.
ratings nerds about to be :sadbron:

Eric Bischoff is about as out of touch as Vince is with the current generation, not just in wrestling but culture in general. Everything he's produced outside of wrestling since WCW has been a flop and a half. The stuff he is responsible for in wrestling since the end of WCW: Pushing old guys way past their primes, a new Four Horsemen, NWO x Sons of Anarchy, "discovering" such great young talents as Crimson and Gunner, pushing drug fueled Jeff Hardy, pushing his terrible son, tanking TNA so hard with terrible content and the attempt to go head to head with WWE that they still haven't recovered 10 years later.

He’s better as a talent.
