WWE Hall Of Famer Steve Austin recently appeared as a guest on The Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast for an in-depth interview. Below are some of the highlights.

On the reason he retired from wrestling when he did: "The reason I got out of professional wrestling was because my body said, 'hey Steve, you've had enough.' And, like I tell everybody, and it's also true, I could get a couple of more years out of my body. I could, but why? I had a very physical, aggressive style; I took hard, fast, quick bumps; the piledriver in '96 or '97, whatever it was, took its toll. Now, I'm 100% as far as doing normal human being stuff, but it was time for me to ride off into the sunset and preserve my health. And I want to live an active life for 10 to 20, 30 more years doing the stuff that I do, riding my dirt bikes, four-wheelers, and the outdoor stuff that I love to do for a long, long time. And it was just time."

On Hulk Hogan and other wrestlers ruining their legacy by wrestling well after their prime: "That's interesting. I get asked the question, 'is he ruining his legacy?' and I think I always respected what that guy did with his career, an unbelievable box office draw and a charismatic performer that so many people grew up [watching] and idolized. A lot of respect [for] him and that as far as what he did. I don't like to talk too much about what are these guys doing still in the ring. That's a personal decision. I made mine to get out and I live with that decision. I'm cool with it and I'm sure he's cool with what he's doing if he's still doing it.

"Me and Terry [Hogan's shoot first name] don't trade phone calls. We're not the best of friends. We're not enemies. People say what they want to say or try to stir up animosity. I don't hold anything against the guy. At the end of the day, we're two of the guys. We're pro wrestlers. We have a lot of things in common, [and] a lot of things that aren't in common. But he does what he does and I think it is what it is. That's all I can say."

On WWE and Bret Hart burying the hatchet after years of having issues: "I was glad to hear it. There was so much real animosity between [Bret Hart and Vince McMahon] because of everything that happened in WWE with the Screwjob in Montreal [Canada] with Bret and Shawn [Michaels]. Then, Bret leaving [WWE]. There was just a lot of animosity there and Bret really thinks he got screwed. Not so much in the storyline, but in real life. And for him to come back and put this behind him, at some point, as I've gone down the road a few more paces, I seem to be making better decisions than I did back in the day, I think, and anything in life, experience makes you a better person or a smarter person anyway and the ability to take advantage of being able to make better decisions. And I think enough water was under the bridge that he can finally say, 'okay, this is cool. I can accept this now. I can live with this.' And I think it was like taking a big, 100-pound weight off his back and for them to be able to have closure in that storyline as a WWE angle, and closure to their real deal angle in life, the animosity between them, I think it's a good thing."
just one more match :mjcry:
As noted, Daniel Bryan has been on a mission to find a way to get medically cleared to return to the ring and wrestle again.

During his recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, the SmackDown Live General Manager once again spoke about the chances of returning to the ring. This time, however, Bryan was asked what the chances of WWE clearing him are, or if he feels like he'll return to the ring for another promotion, such as Ring Of Honor (ROH).

"I think there is an 85% chance that I will wrestle again, my wife says it's 100%," Bryan said. "That's not the case, if I get a test that says I shouldn't wrestle again, then I won't wrestle again. So I think there is an 85% chance that I will wrestle again. I would say that there is about a 20% chance that WWE will clear me to wrestle. It's a small chance, but it's not an impossible chance."

Bryan continued, "I know that they [WWE] want me to wrestle. There's just a lot of stuff that has to happen for me to be able to wrestle."

Additionally, Bryan spoke about his old days of working the independent pro wrestling schedule and his belief that if WWE were to eventually clear him, they would give him a "lighter schedule" to work.

"One of the things about an independent schedule is that it would be easier," Bryan said. "But I think if WWE were to clear me, they'd give me a little bit of a lighter schedule. We're not running as hard as we were in 2013 where you're doing both shows [RAW and SmackDown]."
DB's wife tryna kill him worse than you marks
It is now confirmed that several RAW roster members will be at tonight's SmackDown Live taping in Charlotte, North Carolina.

According to PWInsider.com, the RAW roster will finally seek their revenge on the blue brand following the "Under Siege" attacks in recent weeks.

The talents from RAW scheduled to attend tonight's WWE taping includes The Shield, The Bar and others involved in the traditional elimination matches at this Sunday's WWE Survivor Series 2017 pay-per-view in Houston, Texas.

As previously reported, tonight's SmackDown Live, which is the "go-home" show for Sunday's joint-brand PPV, will also feature Sin Cara vs. Baron Corbin for the WWE United States Championship and Charlotte vs. Natalya for the SmackDown Live Women's Championship, as well as The New Day vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

No specific date for his return is known at this point, but there is some speculation that Chris Jericho could be back as early as the Raw 25th anniversary special in January which would be only a few weeks after his match with Kenny Omega.
:whew: that GOAT

There is a lot of backstage chatter that Bray Wyatt continues to be on the receiving end of significant heat from WWE officials, specifically due to his personal issues stemming from his ongoing divorce.
:mjcry: bray be risking it all and I don't blame him

One rumor going around is that WWE officials were not happy at Paige posting a pic on Instagram with Raw women's captain Alicia Fox and her return to TV is now up in the air, though still expected to occur within the next month.

Not only was AJ Styles winning the WWE title a direct response to Smackdown's low rating on October 31, but one source also indicated that the decision was also a result of lower-than-expected attendance figures at Smackdown shows - both TV and house shows - while Jinder Mahal was champion.

Charlotte is talented as hell but they gotta chill on giving her all these forced reigns due to how many time her pops held the title

Just my opinion

That's not why tho. If that were the case then she would already have 10-12 reigns (because she's not going to be in the game as long as Ric was).

- Charlotte has had it 5 times
- Sasha and Alexa have both had it 4 times each

That's on par. Now you could argue that maybe all of them should only have 1-3 reigns each (longer reigns), but other than that it's pretty spot on with their talent ranking.
