ok, $1600 for how long? republicans do not want it too last for the duration of this pandemic or economic crisis. so it's essentially a band-aid solution for people who haven't already been sent eviction or foreclosure notices.

Thats the thing, pelosi shouldn't haven't to pressure them in the first place. Every other democratic multi-party government in the world worked together to pass legislation to help their citizens and here we are in america believing dysfunction like one party pressuring another to do the sensible thing during this unprecedented crisis is business as usual.

The irony is that a bill probably helps Republican electoral chances but they aren't interested in passing one, they can't even agree on a next step.
McConnell: 15-20 GOP senators will not vote for any coronavirus deal

yeah, they wont vote for a bloated, bullshyt ass bill where both sides are loading it with pork

show me one politician in the DC whorehouse who would vote against a simple, two part bill with 1200 dollar checks for everyone and 400 a week in extra unemployment relief, that costs 500 billion dollars

snippet:

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) has referenced the GOP divisions as he's called for the administration to make progress on a larger fifth package. Republicans offered a package of roughly $1 trillion, while the bill passed by House Democrats was around $3 trillion.

"One Senator said: 'There are a hundred problems with the plan.' Another: 'It’s a mess. I can’t figure out what this bill is about.' ... Those would be harsh criticisms if they came from Democrats. But those quotes weren’t from Democrats, those were Republican senators talking about their own party’s plan," Schumer said during a speech from the Senate floor this week.

That's on Republicans and Donald Trump
:stopitslime:

Everyone is always complaining about Democrats being p*ssy when it comes to letting Republicans bully them, but when they stand their ground fake ass Democrats and leftists come crying about how they need to bend the knee.

:stopitslime:

You've been in here for months complaining about how the UI bonus was too much, it was enough to have saved a good chunk of it to hold put another month or two.

Yall need to quit faking concern and just admit that you are a Republican
.
So much this. Dude cried so hard over the UI bonus and now it’s “Democrats have to get this done :sadbron:
