Steven Spielberg, Oprah and Quincy Jones are set to produce a remake of The Color Purple for Warner Bros., Collider has exclusively learned. The project is being developed as a feature adaptation of the musical.

Scott Sanders will join Spielberg, Jones and Oprah as a producer on the project.

Spielberg famously directed the 1985 adaptation of Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book.
