Funny thing is I remember back then you had to travel to Harlem to get the mixtapes. Kid Capri, S&S, Double R tapes weren’t as easily accessible. I remember being 12/13, and riding with the older dudes on my block over to Harlem Music Hut and copping the latest uptown tapes. By like 93/94 was when the tapes started circulating everywhere throughout the tri state.This that Harlem/Bx shyt.I was from Brooklyn but would go up to Harlem hut or hit the Ave on 125th every other week the mixtape Era and the exclusives
