Statistical pet peeve I hate is the RedZone success percentage

"They are perfect in 8 tries in the red zone"

"5 touchdowns and 3 field goals"


That's not perfect to me

The best red zone percentage last year was 68%

So it is a legitimate stat..and not as easy as you’d think

Right now Dallas, New England and Miami are in the 30s

It was named that for both scoring options since inception

What is better:

7 for 8 red zone with 7tds and a turnover on downs

OR

8 for 8 red zone with 6tds and 2 made fgs

most teams go for it on 4th in the redzone and fail.. There's skewed stats there
