The zombie part is not the primary focus of the game, it’s basically a sim that happens to have zombies in it
Does state of decay even have a story? Don't you just run around killing shyt with no purpose?

My feelings exactly.
I was a BIG fan of the first. I thought they were too conservative with 2.
State of Decay 2 was just a prototype/skeleton for this one. You could tell they were just building the engine and setting the stage for SOD3 with the second one.This one is going to be a hit, and it's free for Gamepass. Xbox won.
