According to Deadline, executive producer Robert Tapert is considering a spin-off centered on Julius Caesar. As mentioned, that character will play a major role in this upcoming final season of Spartacus, and the conclusion of that series could easily set the stage for a show revolving around Caesars rise to power in Rome. Given the fact that Caesar is a recognizable (and highly marketable) historical figure, it would be easy for Starz to rein in additional interest in a spin-off series, in addition to retaining loyal Spartacus viewers.

But there has been increasing buzz about a possible spinoff since writer-producer Steven S. DeKnight mentioned a potential new Spartacus series in an interview last summer. That happened at about the time Starz said the War of the Damned season would be the last.
Its not even close to being a done deal, a production source told the Daily News, but theyre headed down that road.
