Ever since I started working out from 4:30am to 6:00am i've noticed so many more benefits

I feel like I can get more done cause the gym is obviously not packed like it is at 8pm during the week.
I feel more focused at work.
I have more time to spend with my family in the evenings
I don't have to worry about talking myself out of going to the gym after fighting traffic on the way to get my kid from daycare, go home and fix her dinner. get changed....by that time i usually say forget it, i'm not going back out

I'm not a morning person but this has been working for me. Anybody else had to change their gym schedule to something similar?

Pretty much the same, in my 20’s I had the energy to put in work at the gym after work, in my 30’s tho, between work tiring me out, traffic, wanting to do post work events or cook etc had to switch to the mornings. I like it because I always know I got the gym in, those temptations to skip it in the evening aren’t there in the morning. And yes, my mood is better for the day and fewer people in the way is :blessed:

It's just another piece of the puzzle.

There are things you have to do in your day. You have to go to work, you have to pick the kids up from school, you have to cook dinner for them and yourself.

Working out to me is just as important all those important things. Just like I'm not going to be late for work or call in, I'm not going to just not work out . I might push it off like if I think I'm gonna do it at 8:00 start at 8:15 or 8:30. But just not doing it at all or becoming too busy or too tired. Nope.

I've had those days where I was tired and I didn't want to workout and even 40 mins in the workout I'm yawning, my heart rate ain't super high but I still have 20 minutes to go. Better to finish tired than quit.

Early morning workouts are the best.

I do it every now and then.

Majority of the people at my gym only use the cardio machines! I'm like :dwillhuh:
I always get the weights without a wait :myman:

I just starting working out for the time in like 4 years lol. I wake up at 3:30 am to get ready for work so this is not possible for me.

The only free time I have is in the afternoon/evening at home.

When I worked 5:30 to 2pm. I had nothing but time. The day was young. I'd go home, workout, shower, cook dinner.

My bench went up a lot. Which was weird. I was using a target or Walmart protein powder. I don't know what it was. Definitely off brand. I know at the time I swapped back and forth between eas and the store brand. I can't remember for the life of me what it was, but it mixed really well whereas the eas didn't.

Does protein powder work

Yes.

Your muscles are made of protein. Protein is made up from amino acids. When you work out hard and stretch and tear muscle fibers, protein repairs them. They create new muscle keep muscles strong.

All protein powder is not equal. I'm am not a powderhead. Nor was I ever. I don't know all the stats of different brands, nor did I read a bunch of different reviews. Back in high school I never ever touched the stuff. Shortly after I did. But I used trial and error.

Some stuff tastes like shyt.
Some of the stuff is primarily filler and it's bullshyt.
Some of it is good and expensive, expensive enough to where it's definitely not worth it.
Some of it doesn't mix well, too grainy or gritty and you'll always get lumps.

I always used to suffer from doms. (Delayed onset muscle soreness) I would go hard and pay for it for the next 3-5 days.

I finally started feeding and replenishing my muscles after workouts and that shyt went away.

Like i said I tried a few brands some shyt target or walmart had on the shelf, eas, maybe a gnc brand, and muscle milk.

I don't recall eas being that good "for me"...I can't quite remember what it was, it maybe I didn't want to go to gnc because they always tried to up sell and have conversations or if I got it somewhere else maybe it didn't mix well or taste well.

The walmart or target one was good. It mixed with water or milk without clumps and sticking, I usually use a cup and fork but a shaker bottle was fine too. Also I felt and saw results. It could've just been where I was at during the time but I felt great, my lifts were going up. I really liked the stuff.

Now I'm in the maint stage, and I'm lazy and I don't get to go hard like I used to therefore I just use muscle milk powder. Just one scoop after my workout.

Is it mandatory, no. I wholeheartedly believe that when it comes to fitness, working out, losing weight, getting stronger, you don't need supplements. They do work but don't let a lack of a supplement stop you from working out. Don't not workout cause you don't have protein powder or creatine or pre workout, post workout, bcaa's or anything else. Remember gnc and other places are always going to have something for you to spend your money on. I say put in the hard work and spend it on new clothes or something.
