Who would you take to start a franchise, or ?

I ask this cause I see a lot o people putting Lebron in their top 5 all time and seemingly bypassing shaq on all time lists so by that logic he's>Shaq ITO

I like Hibbert but

I'm not Really taking era into context(because the center would always have the advantage now) I'm just saying in general. A 21 year old Lebron or a 21 year old Shaq

I'm taking Shaquille, but not because he's the better player, but because I would prefer his dominant peak as a center. We're talking about two of the top six or seven greatest talents ever.

Easily Shaq, much easier to build a team around a dominant big man more so than a perimeter player. The only exception is Jordan

Shaq and is not Even close, Shaq came out of college terrorizing mufukkas, he was playing against top of the line Centers, he flirted with 30 points a game through much of the 90s while being hacked and missing half of his free throws vs Hakeem, The Admiral, Mutombo, Ewing, Alonzo Mourning etc. Not only that just the fact that he was such a force in the paint and him beeing doubled and tripled teamed made bum nikkaz just sit around and launch wide open shots.

Shaq and the only chance Bron has at changing that is playing like he did in the playoffs this year over an extended period of time (5 or 6 years straight).

Shaqs 1st 2 seasons he put up 23 and 14 and 29 and 13.This was when the nba had several good C's and was much more physical
