J.J. Abrams' upcoming "Star Trek" sequel finally has a title. The latest installment in the ongoing adventures of the U.S.S. Enterprise has been christened "Star Trek Into Darkness." The follow-up to the 2009 reboot will once again star Chris Pine as Captain Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Mr. Spock and Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy, with Abrams returning as director. Benedict Cumberbatch, who is best known for his work on the BBC mystery series "Sherlock," will play the villain.

Personally, I don't think the title matters. It's a Star Trek movie. That's all you need to know.

I thought the reboot was absolutely fantastic. For some reason though I think they are taking too long for a sequel.

You think so to huh? I feel the exact same way, loved every bit of the reboot. Thought it was actually one of the better reboots ever, it all made sense and the characters felt just like originals. But I forgot when it came out...09 right? They should of green lit the sequel immidiately idk why its taken 3 years to get this going. In this day and age theres no excuse for no sequel yet other crap gets yearly releases.

The plus side is the cast is young enough and look young enough to not worry about them looking :flabbynsick:

It came out may 2009 and the sequel is supposed to arrive 2013 which is 4 years after. Still not bad overall. We waited longer for the Batman sequel.

I rather wait an extra couple years then have half assed sequels

The first one was a damn good watch so im expecting some of the same here. Still don't know why this wasn't released on HBO or Cinemax. Seen that it premiered on FX. Infact a lot of movies don't come on premium cable nowadays. Are they trying to convert everyone over to Netflix or something?

That channel EPIX buys the rights to them. Star Trek has been on that channel for years, but I personally don't pay for it. Yeah you would think it'd be on HBO or cinemax etc. but nope, epix got the deal. Same deal with captain america, thor, iron man 2 etc.
