Those older trek movies with Kirk and them seemed too damn comical instead of ushering the franchise to a new generation. The TNG crew did ALOT for Star Trek even tho the TOS cast will always be beloved. I'm really curious what the Trek roadmap looks like because if we are keeping it 100, it could EASILY have all of these little side character shows and shyt like Star Wars and Marvel has done with the Avengers crew.

Someone holding the keys to the Trek franchise is fukking up by not spinning this thing off into a lil streaming network (on some WWE Network shyt) and then finding a way to incorporate all of the Memory Alpha (and Beta) online stuff. The fact that we JUST got a show like Lower Decks last year is wild because from all of the random books and shyt that have come out over the years, it should've been a no brainer to do little shows like this.

yeah some of the shyt in Picard is and honestly I think a Picard show is 10 years too late. I hope they are filming 3 seasons at a time just in case.

but the franchise as a whole is still viable enough to be refreshed. They dropped the ball big time with Enterprise and these new movies are ehh and felt like a JJ Abrams money grab reboot that just didn’t connect.
