Stankin ass gym clothes

Do they eventually have to be thrown out? I have a particular gym shirt that no matter how many times I wash it, it still fukking stinks as soon as I get active in it. Anyone have any tips on gettin it to not stink anymore once I start sweating while wearing it? Im using good detergent AND fabric softener in a brand new ass washing machine

Synthetic fabrics are a bytch.
Its why a lot of people wear Merino Wool shirts.
Wool doesnt hold the stink the way synthetics do.
