The primary market for that Square was attempting to attract was RPG enthusiasts who play either 16-bit, N64, and Saturn Systems or those who left the RPG market. Their secondary target market was people that played Resident Evil and Tomb Raider.

Marketing objectives
  • Sell X amount of hardaware as a direct result of the SqaureSoft assosication/ideal - the idea being Square products will move hardware and take share from Nintendo and Sega
  • Sell 750K Final Fantasy
  • Sell 150K to 300K each of Final Fantasy Tactics, Bushido Blade, Saga Frontiers and Tobal #2

I wonder why Tobal. 2 never got a U.S. release as there was literally marketing plans for a Tobal. 2 U.S release
