Man I fell in love with them when I saw them at my elementary school library in like 4th grade with the cards you can tear out and the posters :ahh:

Begged and pleaded for my mom to subscribed she managed to get lil joseluisgotcha a year subscription that was like the greatest year of my childhood

I got the timing of when they were delivered used to rush home from school :takedat:

When that year ended and they stopped coming tho :to:

I still got a few I saved

As a kid the articles and interviews were :ohlawd:

This was was before Internet and all that so stars like frank Thomas Griffey and the Randall Cunninghams of the world were like Demi Gods

Eventually grew out of them and my mom used to bring me home sports illustrated that a co-worker subscribed to whenever they were finished reading them cause we was too broke for that I used to read them late but back then information wasn't moving so fast as today so it wasn't like I felt out the loop with info

Anyway salute to the GOAT kids mag

:salute:

I remember I used to get them.....but honestly I felt like I was too advanced for it. Like why not just get me the real Sports Illustrated. I watched ESPN all day every day and I was smarter than most kids....so it was like fukk this lol. Didn't want to be ungrateful to the people who purchased me the gift tho....
