why? the other players mentioned have him beat in every category.
MVP isn't the best stats award.
And no one has him beat in any defensive categories, plus he was top 5 in batting average. His offensive numbers are actually pretty impressive placed next to Posey because Molina's played more games at catcher (like 30 more).
Posey: .336 with 24 home runs, 103 RBIs and a 7.2 WAR
Yadi: .315 with a 22 homers, 76 RBIs and a 6.7 WAR
But Molina threw out 47.9 percent of runners attempting to steal and allowed just 38 stolen bases. Posey gave up 87 stolen bases, and only threw out 30.4 percent of base-stealers.
Overall, Molina was just as good, if not better, than Posey.
