Conviction was trash, they practically made it into a damn Call of Duty shooter. What made Splinter Cell great was the espionage/stealth aspect of the game.

i'm replaying it now and stealth is still an option in the game. you can get through missions without being spotted, there are even challenges for it. but blacklist did a great job of fleshing out the stealth and more confrontational roles.

wild blacklist still isn't BC; you would think it's because they're gonna remaster/make it but we're 5 years into this gen and there's been no announcements or anything, just more teasers. the wildlands mission is the closest we've seen.

but i also really liked the old beta footage of conviction. looked a lot more open, cqc was expanded and the whole social stealth element reminded me of a more fleshed out hitman. you can see the design elements in assassin's creed down the line, too

Never cared for shooting games or stealth games. . .

But this game was :wow:

I'll never forget those two guards watching TV. I'd shoot the TV out and then you know what time it is :demonic:
