I like a lot of the chicago post-hardcore bands -- Big Black, Naked Raygun, Trenchmouth (Fred Armisen from SNL/Portlandia's band in the early 90s).

Obviously, Fugazi, Jawbox and Quicksand are my shyt, too. If Husker-Du counts as "post hardcore," then they're probably my favorite.

I'm probably not going to listen to most of the newer bands. Still discovering stuff I missed from the late 80s/early 90s.
