...cause I can tell you, it AIN'T gon' be the Sixers.

Also, what do you even OFFER that nikka next year? Nevermind the MAX, who'd be dumb enough to give him even double-digit millions?

I don't care if he comes back after the AS Break and averages 20 and 10...that boy's knees are DONE, you'll be doing your franchise a disservice signing him.

And I'm actually a Bynum fan....but he ain't worth no huge contract.

I'd offer that fool a one-year deal to prove himself and keep it movin'....

Though it's bound to happen i really hope no one offers him a max level contract. I don't got Bynum playing five more years at a high level with them knees. But someone will offer him the max because it always happens.

It's all speculation until it gets closer to review his contract. He could hang on as a second stringer... sit on the bench and get paid. Plenty of those types.

:what:

You REALLY think Bynum would come off the bench and NOT raise a fuss?

Y'all REALLY must not be following this guy right now.....his knees are TOAST.

Anybody giving him a long-term deal next year is signing their team's death warrant.

Do you think he has a chance in the Chinese basketball league? :shaq:

Nothing has really changed from the time you traded for him to now and he still got enough interest to be the main centerpiece in a return for Dwight Howard. Other teams saw it but not Philly. He'll get paid in Philly.

Let me say this....

First, I respectfully disagree with you all who think Philly will pay him, and I'll gladly re-up this thread this Summer if they do.

Also, this is very encouraging for the Sixers (from yesterday):

PHILADELPHIA — After participating in his first shootaround of the season earlier in the day, Andrew Bynum told the media he’s continuing to improve and still hopes to make his 76ers debut around the all-star break in mid-February.

“The knees feel good,” Bynum said prior to Monday night’s game against the Spurs. “I’m not feeling any pain. It’s just all good. Everything’s picking up.”

Speaking for the third consecutive Monday, Bynum said that, while he’s pleased with his progress, he’s wary of pushing too hard and jeopardizing how far he’s come.

“I want it to go smoothly,” Bynum said. “I don’t want any setbacks. I’m going to let the team and the doctors tell me exactly when to take the next step because if I go out there, I’ll do something stupid.”

Hopefully he'll be back by the Clippers game in March, as I have tickets for same. :win:

All that said, however....

Even if Bynum’s knees preclude him from wearing No. 33 for the Sixers, they can subtract his $16.5 million salary from their payroll in 2013-14 or perhaps agree to a sign-and-trade deal to get something back in return.
