For all the justified hate remakes get, do you ever think there could be one out there that could use a modern feel?

For me, it's Johnny Be Good

They could redo Johnny Walker as a Cam Newton or Johnny Manziel type and have the same premise but make a parody of the NCAA and ESPN, with sanctions, recruiting "gifts" and all the fukkery that goes on behind the scenes in corralling the next college football superstar. It would be art imitating life imitating art.

Akira. A live action remake. The film itself still holds up against today's animation standards. damn that film looks good. :whoo:
They have a movie coming out where they rip off the hospital scene in akira. Some individual walking through a hospital just flicking people around with her mind.

I seen that trailer. Never made this connection tho :ohhh:
Chronicle was a complete ripoff but it was kinda good tho. A lot of these western films ripoff a lot of anime like Pacific Rim copying Neon Genesis Evangelion

Only remakes worth doing is where they fukked it up the first time round. They should remake all the movies Adam Sandler ever made.

I absolutely will never watch an Akira remake, it would be completely pointless.
