SPIN: How would you have ended your favorite movie/series?

Simple premise... name the movie/tv show and how you would have ended it. It probably goes without saying, but it should be different than the actual ending.

The Wire: I'm switching Marlo and Avon. Marlo ends up in prison and Avon can't stomach the elitist lifestyle and ends up going back to the block

White Men Can't Jump: Billy and Gloria get back together at the end Sydney and Billy start hustling together again

Ozark: Ruth stays alive. Wendy gets smoked Marty gets the rest of the family out of the illegal businesses and they retire and become a family again

Heat: DeNiro stays disciplined and makes it out of town with his boo. Lays low for a year, comes back and smokes Waingro on a random summer day Disappears again.

Game of Thrones: Dragon Queen stays alive. Jon takes the throne instead of Bran

Gladiator: It was a dope ending, but Maximus stays alive to lead Rome

The Departed: Leo stays alive and ends up leaving town with Matt Damon's wife

Dead Presidents: Larenz doesn't get that sentence

My idea for Matrix 3 was to have Neo become Smith when they came to. Smiths code gets into Neo and he sets about trying to carry out his programming. Thing is Smith now only know how to exist in opposition to Neo and thus becomes an unwilling (and unwanted) One.

Would have been a great philosophical exercise into the nature of duality, relation and what "necessary evil" actually means as well as peoples investment in saviors.

Can't remember what they did but it wasn't anywhere near what I envisioned.

Pretty happy with how most of my favorite movies/tv end. I'd bring back Hannibal though for two more seasons and let Bryan Fuller do his take on Clarice. He wanted to/had a plan but a different company had the rights to Clarice iirc.

Honestly, the show needed to go on for another 1-2 seasons.

Jon needs to kill the Night King. Not Arya.

The rumor about Bran being the Night King should have been true. He kept going back in time to find out things about the WWs, and ends up warging into the guy who the Children of the Forest made into the NK, trapping him. Jon realizes he has to kill Bran to kill the NK or that by killing the NK he kills Bran. Same effect either way. I would exacerbate things by having the Walkers come all the way down into King's Landing, killing tons of people and really fukking everything up to the point that Jon has to make that choice. I would have Cersei die here, getting turned into a White Walker after KL got overrun. Jamie would be the one to kill her but, he dies in the process somehow. An evil character like Cersei deserves to go out that way.

FAegon (Fake Aegon) should appear afterwards for the final arc/battle in King's Landing. The war is "over" but, Cersei is dead and the kingdom is basically destroyed. Dany jumps at becoming Queen in the aftermath, to rebuild Westeros, but, Faegon appears along with his army, Varys and other lords who are in support of a male Targ over Dany. I would have had Dany showing signs of being tyrannical and thinking the throne belongs to her beforehand but, with Varys leaving her side for Faegon, Viserion dying in the war with the WW, the North/Riverlands/Vale showing more respect for Jon, and Tyrion starting to doubt her as Queen, she starts to become more paranoid. I would have had a council-like meeting like in the books (when the lords removed Aerion's children [a crazy Targ in the past] from the Targ line when they were choosing a new king). Instead this time, I'd have Dany and Faegon both arguing for their right to become King/Queen but, the lords end up choosing Faegon, and denouncing Dany, pointing to her father being a mad man, just like Aerion's children were denounced for Aerion being mad. During this time, you could have Faegon bond with Dany's dragon, Rhaegal, proving he was a Targ (really a Blackfyre) and have all the poor commoners support him as he's more charismatic and likeable. Dany doesn't accept the ruling and chooses to fight FAegon, which sets the stage for the second Dance of Dragons and begins her descent into madness.

I would have had mad people die here to set Dany off.

Missandei would die. Jorah would die. Brutal deaths for both.

Dany's army loses though and Faegon wins. Dany and Drogon are apprehended, and set for death. Dany gets walked through the city in similar fashion to Cersei (clothed though) with people taunting her and shyt, throwing shyt at her. But before her execution, Jon or someone else, maybe Tyrion, frees her and tells her to go far away.

Instead, Dany burns down the city, killing Faegon, Varys and whoever else, just like in the show.

Jon chooses to kill her, knowing she went too far. Just like in the show.

Drogon melts the IT still and flies away.

With Dany's army mostly dead, there would be no one demanding for Jon to go to the Wall.

I would have Jon become King, though he would be fukked up mentally with Bran dying, Dany dying and Dany killing all those people. Tyrion would either get killed for letting Dany loose or they'd keep the secret and he'd become Hand of the King for Jon (not sure there).

Sansa would rule Winterfell, except she stays in the 7 Kingdoms. Everyone else who became a lord would become a lord still.
