1. Ignored Intel that could've prevented 9/11
2. Failed to capture or kill OBL
3. Created department of homeland security and championed the patriot act.
4. The TSA
5. Expanded funding for the NSA and FBI who thinks going on Chatrooms to entrap 15 year old mentally challenged Arabs counts as counterterrorism.
6. Increased funding to Israel
7. Installed the likes of Samuel alito into the Supreme Court.
8. Started two wars that produced nothing of any tangible benefit for Americans and gas prices shot up and haven't gone back to the Clinton days.
9. Failed to send aid in 2005 to New Orleans so he could maximize the amount of black casualties.
10. Continued to fund the war on drugs.
11. Massive tax cuts for the rich.
12. Supported the citizens united ruling.
13. Expanded the black sites so they could jail more Americans and torture them off state.
14. Increased the national debt, invalidating all the savings that previous presidents attempted to build.
15. Mainstreamed drone warfare.
16. Normalized bank bailouts and refused to expand funding of the government institutions that can check Wallstreet's worst impulses.

That's just all off the top of my head.

It's amazing how no one really brings up #1 and #9.
He doesn't get nearly enough smoke. Hell he didn't even win in 2000.

:snoop:what's fukked up is...because of the Election bullshyt, that further delayed them securing positions in his administration so that 9/11could've still possibly been avoided

but Gore not winning really set this country back decades, damn near generations of potential

Probably not. He put straight up clowns in high level positions, look at Micheal Brown and Katrina.
When I worked in DC an old lady was telling how everyone in charge of our department were rich kids who did simple jobs for the Bush Campaign.

I contend still Bush was far worse than Trump. Obama returned the country to a relative sense of normalcy politically and we could hang our hat on electing a half black president.

Trump is going to destroy all political norms. Bush created the climate to do so. Which will potentially end the country as we've known it.
  • Invaded Iraq on loose evidence later to be found untrue.
  • Housing market went to shyt and never looked back since him.
  • Governmental hacking was normalized after Stuxnet.
  • Banking/stock market got out of control, and is barely above legalized gambling, where the public covers the losses.
  • Mass surveillance of US citizens was normalized.
  • He was dumb...not as dumb as Trump (which i didn't think was possible for a US president). This normalized speaking plainly and blasphemously in US politics.
  • EDIT: Stole/threw out election ballots.
  • EDIT: Mishandled Katrina completely.
Internally, this caused a large part of the general public to lose trust in our institutions across the board, Obama was in a tough place and I think he should've prosecuted some of the wall street guys. Externally, pretty much every world power is using our play book now, and we can't put it back in the box, because they effectively say, "we'll, you did it first. fukk off."

Stole the election (the people who helped with tried to do it again with Trump), lied about starting a war, the failure response to Katrina, the handling of the financial crash, the entire 9/11 saga, the constant gaffes…the man along with Cheney & Rumsfeld should be in prison for war crimes.

But hey he paints dog shyt and Michelle likes him so he’s alright now smh

During the 2008 Election cycle, people were getting tired of Bush because of the Wars. So America basically like, "We are ready for someone new." and then Obama came along and it was a breath of fresh air for a ton of folks, but then with Obama's election, that began to stir up the subtle racism that has always existed, including Trump with his birther shyt.

Here we are now, and Trump has set the bar lower than any other president.

So for me, people are easy on Bush at the moment, as really the country has gotten more heated that Bush's presidency was seemingly more normal than what we have now.

As time goes on, probably the next 10-20 years, Historians will begin to evaluate Bush and really highlight his failures as a president.
