Sony appears to be moving forward with its Kraven the Hunter movie, as the company is reportedly in the process of hiring a writer to pen the Spider-Man villain movie.
According to Collider, Sony is bringing on The Equalizer 2 scribe Richard Wenk to write the script. In addition to both Equalizer movies, Wenk's writing credits include The Expendables 2, The Mechanic, and 2016's The Magnificent Seven.
The report also stated Sony was working on other movies within the Spider-Man universe, including projects focused on Silver Sable and Black Cat, as well as Mysterio. Silver and Black has since been confirmed, while Mysterio will reportedly be the villain in the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel. Jake Gyllenhaal is reportedly in talks to play Mysterio, who's also yet to appear on the big screen.
