With Spartacus coming to an end on Starz with the next season, Spartacus: War of the Damned, many fans have speculated on the possibility of a spinoff. In fact, executive producer Steven S. DeKnight told our own Eric Goldman that he would be open to continuing the franchise when they announced Spartacus was ending. In that interview, DeKnight hinted that another series could potentially hone in on Julius Caesar and that character's historical exploits. Now, Deadline has learned that that's exactly what Starz has in mind.

:ooh: A Julius Caesar come up? I'm down with that!

I really liked the show Rome but it only showed Caesar at his peak and then shortly after his death. Can't wait to see the next season of Spartacus and how this new Caesar show will turn out after.

That could be cool but I dunno how Starz will handle it. It won't be nearly as action packed as Spartacus, and will need some good writing for the various mind games and shyt.

It'll be hard to top Rome imo...but maybe if they get some good actors and writers it'll be entertaining.

Yah I don't see it being action packed especially if they start with his tenure as High Priest of Jupiter. Where dictator Sulla kept fukking with him. It would need some top notch writing to keep the political intrigue entertaining.
