A former label mate of Doe & Meeks during the days of Domination Recordings, 9th Scientist has been transmitting that real from Little Rock AKA Illatron for years. We sit down with 9th and talk about his early influences in music, getting the recording bug in ’91 and demos he cut in Lee Anthony’s infamous True Soul studios. We also discuss how formative his college years were form a religious / spiritual standpoint, his introduction to Islam and the journey it placed him on. Bringing it back around to the music, 9th dishes on his relationships with some of the underground’s elite, such as John “Sci” Robinson, MF Grimm & his honorary induction into the Monsta Island Czars. Of course we discuss that new new, as 9th let’s us in on what’s he has in store for 2016, including his new LP “Jvillatron".
