Researchers have developed an imager chip inspired by Superman’s X-ray vision that might be used in mobile devices to identify objects behind walls or within packages.
The engineers from the University of Texas at Dallas and Seoul National University worked primarily on making the technology compact enough to be integrated into mobile devices while improving image quality.
