Slaves were fed with things that parts of the animal that whites didn't want (chitlins, pig feet, hamhocks, gizzards, etc)

Cacs fed us slop leftovers and we've seasoned it up and kept it going for generations

On that note, soul food is the reason I stopped cooking thanksgiving dinner for my family. I want salmon, I want spinach and kale, I want al dente pasta with FRESH sauces, etc.
