Everyone involved in running this team needs to be fired. Either they care more about a possible first round pick they might get that they’ll 100% whiff on or they really are bent on playing a guy with a .220 average and a .270 OBP with 3 homers in the last 3 months who doesn’t even play hard that isn’t even under contract after this year over a top prospect they’re banking on. Note that DJ is still on the roster too . These a$$holes really do operate like 2015-20 Vince McMahon trying to not be great purely out of ego and spite

Been saying all year and even since last winter before they traded for Soto that if I had to pick between getting/re-signing Soto or firing Cashman, I’m going with firing Cashman. At every opportunity since Steinbrenner died, he’s shown that feeding his ego and refusing to ever admit his own mistakes are more important than winning the World Series. He’s the single most toxic figure in sports besides maybe John fisher or Jerry reinsdorf. I’d happily give back game 7 2003 even while still losing in 2004 and give back the 2009 title if it meant the boss would’ve fired him while he were still with us.

Have you not watched them since 7/13/2010? Cashman’s only priority is never admit a player he brought in sucks and he’ll keep playing the guy no matter how bad he is just to prove a point. This is the same guy who said “we have 6 outfielders so we didn’t need Bryce Harper” when outside of Judge those guys were Stanton (who they only ever saw as a DH), ellsbury (who hadn’t played in a year & a half and would never play again), hicks (who had 1.5 good but not great seasons), 35 year old Gardner who looked fully washed up, & Clint Frazier (who had never played in a major league game).



Winning just isn’t a priority to him unless it’s done fully with his plan A moves and with a roster entirely built for the sole purpose of giving all the credit for the team success to him and nobody else.

Yeah it's definitely because he doesn't want to admit he's an idiot, they're still sending out dogwater Leiter Jr to give up run after run every appearance. Any sane person would have already cut bait with him.

What's sad is if he does get outbid for Soto, he'll just turn around and say the team has Dominguez so they'll be fine What a clown show.

What's sad is if he does get outbid for Soto, he'll just turn around and say the team has Dominguez so they'll be fine What a clown show.

I said 2 years ago I was willing to lose Judge if the trade off was the fans get so mad the only way to save face is firing Cashman. We’re talking about a guy who the first offseason Steinbrenner is in the dirt he lowballs Derek Jeter in contract negotiations a year removed from a title where Jeter hit .334 with a .406 OBP & 30 steals, leaks the offer to the press, and gives Jeter 5 different shortstops by name he’d rather have.

There’s no spinning losing Soto, the best lefty since Bonds. Nobody will buy it unless he managed to build a time machine & brought in peak Donnie, Bernie, & Boggs to replace him.

I give him no credit for 2009 if that’s what you’re referring to. He played no role in the drafting, development, or re-signing of Jeter, Jorge, Mariano, or Andy. He wanted Rodriguez gone after 2007, and only got Burnett, Swisher, CC, & Teixera when Hal & Hank told him basically “get the best guys at any cost so dad can see one more parade before we lose him”.

If George and Hank Steinbrenner were already dead there’s little chance they spend for anyone that winter and just promote Mussina & Giambi’s replacements from their farm or trade for & sign a few stopgaps and bet on everyone all having a career year at once like Cashman does every year.

There's nothing to prove with the Verdugo trade anymore. There's a golden parachute waiting for Cashman to have us all wash our hands of it.

Judge is just as culpable for Verdugo as Cashman is.

Could’ve given him 2 months to find his place in the lineup going into the playoffs instead of playing one of the 3-4 worst hitters in baseball. This is an even worse offense than playing IKF & Donaldson over Peraza in 2022. Run by a guy who said at the podium with the camera and the mics turned on “the process matters more than the results”. Never has a front office for any franchise needed to be purged more than this one in this year.
