Verdugo is hitting .231 with a .291 OBP on the year. He’s homered once since 6/14 and just twice since 5/30. Of the 124 hitters with 300+ plate appearances since May 1st he’s 119th in OBP at .270, and yet here he is in the middle of the goddamn lineup every day because Cashman won’t admit he made a bad trade and has to manipulate service time for the Martian
