This film has aged BEAUTIFULLY and is now a well rounded, fun, funny, slightly witty film with like actual moments and great pacing. I don't really think there's any slack in the whole film. It's just bang, bang, bang. Tight :ohhh:

If u watch this film it feels like the blueprint for Winter Soldier. Kind of political thriller tone and even a shot where Whiplash flips the F1 car leaving Tony upside down and walking towards it. They called that back when Winter Soldier flips Fury's car and walks towards it.

One of the best done 3rd act Battles in the MCU

"See that ?" "Yeah, yeah nice!"

Classic Moment where Sam Jack steals the show (Reminds me of Pulp Fiction)

Another moment with Tony just building, talking to Jarvis (This movie takes its time, again zero slack)

Scene takes time out to intro War Machine in a nice little neat display box (Hammer was hilarious)

Jon Favreau really did an excellent job here and I recently sat back and watched it like 'Wow I appreciate this now' it's really its own thing.

Yes this movie has its own feel, and I'll leave with this

:mjlol:

The best thing about this movie is when you go to a Bestbuy and walk past the 4K tv section and see this movie playing on the 4K tv and think, wow this movie looks amazing on 4K, but then you remember how much the movie sucked and walk out the Bestbuy empty handed.

Iron Man 2 isn't remotely as bad as some people make it out to be, it's not as good as the first but it's not trash as some would proclaim.

I will say that you'll view Iron Man 2 in a very different light if you watch Captain America TFA before watching Iron Man 2. A lot of seemingly pointless or unexplained stuff in Iron Man 2 comes from Captain America TFA. That "new element" that Tony finished was actually derived from the cosmic cube, that also explains why Loki's scepter didn't work on Tony in The Avengers.

Trash, the reuse of "yea lemme copy ur armor n have my own suit" was lame we saw iron monger dnt want whiplash in a suit. Whiplash himself was lame and shld have been done as a hemchman to hammer (who shld have been the big bad) the dying tony shyt adapted from his demon in the bottle arc shld have been saved for the 3rd film. There are some goods tho with shield, war machine and the intro of ironman rogues n shyt but the film was a huge drop from the first one with the quality. Third is even more trash, dude trilogy regressed lmao

The Truth
I actually thought it was good. Not as good as the first IM but a decent follow up.

3rd was kinda trash with fake Mandarin, the kid, etc.

For the life of me, I can't understand how people prefer IM3 to this.

For me, it's not even close. A lot of that has to do with me preferring Shane Black and that's so clearly a Shane Black movie. But I love the noir detective angle, the Madarin fake out didn't upset met at all and actually intrigued me. And I liked the thematic reasoning behind it. All the stuff with Tony and the kid worked really well for me. It just worked for me a lot more than Iron Man 2 even with the same ole business man as a villain trope. But it's a self contained story with a proper beginning middle and end, has enough wit for a Downey/Black joint, while introducing some interesting angles in their movie universe and even turned into a proper lethal weapon sequel in the end :russ:

I liked Iron Man 2, now what I hated was them trying to combine Whiplash and the Crimson Dynamo into one fusion enemy :stopitslime:they should have had them as two separate characters going after Tony
