Who got damaged by those emails? The one bytchy lady that worked at Sony? Why didn't those hackers do any real damage with those Sony financials/terabytes of data and instead stuck with releasing gossipy girl emails?
I don't know if Sony did that themselves or not, but I've still got some questions about that huge amount of data that was never ever 'leaked' because North hahaha Korea. And the Interview was terrible regardless.

thats my point, whatever info was leaked was not worth propping up a shyt movie like the Interview
just the embarrassment of having leaks like that alone would not be worth propping up the Interview
and the movie ended up getting pulled from most theatres, there was no real financial gain involved here for Sony

The Interview was getting thrashed by international reviewers right before the 'leak'. Whoever 'leaked' all those emails seemed focused on one or two people that worked for Sony. It seems really suspect and sounds like the makings of an inside job to me.
And now they're releasing a movie about it? Yeah right.
We agree the Interview wasn't worth the fuss, but it was an easy movie to sink for the greater good.
