i'm at paneras, ordering some food, when the girl taking my order asks about my name after reading it off the card. she then talks about her day, the hours she's worked, and how much stress she's endured on this shift. laughing along with her, i joked that at least she has a job to complain about. she then says, "you're cute."

as i wait for my order, we continue talking, and the subject of school comes up. i mention my studies, and she says that school is a pain. i'm thinking she's in college, asking her, "what are you majoring in?" she giggles and responds, "i'm still in high school."

we already look inappropriate, but now i'm thinking to myself, people in line are probably thinking with a little bit of thrown in for good measure.

Growing up my pops always looked a decade younger....teachers would be like I didn't know ur dad was a young guy even though he was in his 40s. He grew up in Somalia though eating non processed food, fresh meals everyday. I don't think I will be as blessed after what I have put in my body lol
