something about Nas life is good album i noticed

almost all the songs clock in 3mins or less. thats kind short for a song. its only 2 verses and someone else doing the chorus. nas has some of the best chorus's in the game why he getting lazy? (same goes for the roots, the don't do their hooks anymore...they used to be the best)

They ain't really bonus tracks...they were meant to be heard which is why the deluxe version is the one to get...and why Nasty is only on the deluxe...

he didn't do any hooks on illmatic. why do people pick at nas for things he did on illmatic but only call them flaws on later albums?

That's becoming the song model lately actually... that 16 bar verse-hook-verse-hook-verse-hook format is still around, but it's not the standard as of late.

Something I noticed: despite it being a somewhat "bitter" album aimed at his ex wife, there is almost no misogynist language on the album. I think Nas says "bytch" one time iirc. This is just a pure statement of anger and pain from a grown perspective. I think that's another reason why it'll get good reviews and might get some awards. This could have easily been an album with Nas calling her a fukking bytch but nah, he kept it cool. That's the mother of his child no matter what
