Excuse the title, but there are some places I go to lift weights and it seems to be heavier than other places. For example, where I live now I work out at Gold's Gym. Today I joined the prestigious club of those benching 225 lbs . I was able to get it for 3 times on 2 occasions (still no spotter smh). I been going to the max of 205, which I could get for 10 no problem.
Anyway, when I go back to my home town and go to the old mom and pops gym my brother works out at, sometimes I be struggling to bench 185 . Never benched over 190 there. Now the weights there are old as crap (cast iron), some have started to rust. My brother always telling me those weights are heavier than those at a regular gym, but I say 45lbs is/should be 45lbs. Any of you experience something similar?
