You using the right sounds, just gotta work on making shyt sound smoother.

Keep improving breh.

thanks bruh appreciate the feedback

also you want less repetition, ex. minor variations in what you chop, chorus section, layering elements here and there, etc.

word. i see what you mean man. just now im workin on another sample and im gonna sample the diff instrumentals (bass guit, piano, etc) and try and work that way piecing them together.

thanks for the tip bruh

this is a big improvement!

sample chop: it's cool, but the original horn you're chopping lacks a bit of the energy you're going for. i'd pick something to chop that is a bit more high energy. also if you're going to program your drums (rather than playing them on pads) you're gonna want to use ghost notes and shyt (see this for more ). a real drummer doesn't hit every drum the exact same way, and so you should vary the velocity on your drums. particularly the bass drum and the hi-hat. but i def hear the potential!

keyboard beat: i like the synergy between the lead melody and the drums you have going on, and i also appreciate the change-up halfway through. you're going to want to add more elements to the song, like a bass line and some harmonies and stuff. if you don't know anything about music theory now is a good time to start. ex. what a scale is, what chords are, the relationship between them
