Biden and pelosi are both catholic and American centrist (That's very conservative by most countries standard)

My theory is, they don't really give a damn about Roe v wade being overturned and I will take it a step further to
assert that deep down, they actually agree with the supreme court's decision

Imagine how they would have reacted if issues that they actually cared about was affected, for example, campaign finance and military spending
Had the supreme court overturned citizen united which limits their ability to fund raise and also ruled to significantly cut military spending

Each younger generation is encouraged to not trust and not listen to the older generation. There is some merit to this, since some things do change with time. Unfortunately, somethings do not change.

People seem to have to learn over and over again that the main focus of many career politicians is the maintenance of their own political power and wealth. So some will do whatever it takes to get people to vote them back in, up to and including misleading the constituents on what their true stance is on the issues. You can see this based on what they do when they actually have the power to resolve an issue they claim needs to be fix. A perfect example is this Roe v Wade issue. There were plenty of times congress could have legislated a solution while Pelosi and Biden were there. They just seem to lack the will to do it when they actually have the power to do it. Their will to fix the problem always seems to be strong only when they are powerless.

I don't think anyone is surprised about Biden's lack of response. I really believe he was put in place for a reason and that's to sit back so everything can play out.
